Second Life was developed as a tool to help people envision a brighter future. I am fortunate enough to have found something I am passionate about inside and outside of SL and have found a way to develop that passion and share it with others. This week I was fortunate enough to have been given a chance to not only share my art with others but also help people at the same time. The Windlight Magazine’s Winter Showcase was developed to benefit Team Diabetes, a charity that donates to diabetes research and funding. I am among the very talented line up of artists and designers who were asked to participate.
Among the artist is a very dear friend of mine, Richie Narstrom. A very talented artist in many areas, he draws his inspiration from the world around him, both SL and RL. If you study his work, you will see that each picture tells a story, and what you take away from it is intensely personal.
Not all of the artists create their work inside of Second Life. Kayly Iali is an great example of this. She is a RL artist, painting with oil and bringing her art into SL to show.
This is only a small sample of the art available to view and buy at the Windlight Winter Showcase. Come by and find something you would like. There are events galore and a formal opening December 8th from 2pm til 6pm.
